A podcast for witches, magicians, and others of the occult persuasion

Hello again! It's been too long, but I have some news, and some invitations.  :)

This is another mostly off-the-cuff episode, with topics touching on introversion, relating to the world spirit-to-spirit, and some updates on my ongoing projects.

I mentioned a few books during the episode, including the following:
Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain
Networking for People Who Hate Networking by Devora Zack
The Candle and the Crossroads by Orion Foxwood

And, of course, I mentioned the author website for H.D. Grogan, at www.hdgrogan.com.  :)

The musical break was "Children of Lir," by Sora, at www.soramusic.ca.
You can also find that song on Mevio's Music Alley at www.musicalley.com.

And lastly, in the addendum I mentioned the Tara Brach podcast, which is a great resource for people on any spiritual path, Buddhist or not. Find it on iTunes, or go to www.tarabrach.com.

Hi everyone! I wanted to give you all something to listen to, since so much time has gone by, but time is still tight. So this piece is a bit of an experiment in learning to speak off the cuff into the microphone instead of tightly scripting everything.  :)

The topic is highly appropriate to the recording method, too - I talk about my recent experience with learning to move forward after making mistakes.

Thanks for listening (and thanks for your patience!)

Bright and dark blessings,
Oraia Helene

Reflections: Fall Foliage / Main Show: Skipping Through the Minefield (Politics)

Thank you very much for your patience in waiting for this episode to come out!  I was sick for a few weeks around the time I would have released the September episode, plus I chose a particularly difficult topic for the main segment this time around: politics.  Or, really, my thoughts on how to handle the topic of politics, which is particularly relevant in the USA right now.

But first, we'll take a look at the colors of fall foliage, in a new Reflections segment.

Thank you very much for listening!

Earth Below: Chakra Stones / Poetry by Fiona MacLeod / Main Show: More Random Thoughts

As I explain in the introduction, this is a short, weird, eclectic episode collecting an Earth Below segment about stones and the chakras, a couple of poems from Fiona MacLeod (aka William Sharp), two short segments containing random thoughts I've had recently, and some songs from my most recent concert with the Greenfield Community Chorus.

In this episode, I share another story from a collection by W.B. In this episode, I share my experiences and observations regarding coming out of the broom closet, in one long segment.  It's a really personal episode, and I keep thinking of more things I could have said, or said better, but hey, life's always a work in progress, right?  :)

In this episode, I share my experience watching and meditating with Tibetan Buddhist monks as they created a sand mandala of compassion.  I also read some listener feedback, and explain why the episode is so short this month.  :)

In this episode, we take a look at sugilite in the "Earth Below" segment, then introduce the new "Anthology" segment with a fairy tale collected by W.B. Yeats.  In the two-part main segment, we look at the value of "I don't want to" feelings, then share a meditation on mud.  Yes, mud. :)
